Lindsay Houston has over five years of experience in substance use disorder policy, community facilitation, program design, and project management. Lindsay has led three 1-million-dollar HRSA RCORP grants for hospitals in rural areas of the state covering a total of nine counties with over 100 stakeholders, gaining national recognition. Further, she currently serves as the facilitator for one Opioid Settlement Region, covering four counties, to develop spending plans for their opioid settlement dollars.
Through this work she convenes diverse stakeholder groups, including elected officials, law enforcement, providers, and people with lived expertise. Lindsay also led a contingency management (CM) pilot program in Colorado and worked with six Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Expansion grantees to develop or expand existing CM programs. Through this, she worked to support providers by developing monthly 1:1 calls with clinics and a learning forum for providers, tailoring template operating procedures, policies and protocols, and staffing workflows to support clinic-based CM programs.
