Some recent grant customer success to highlight:
- 5280 High School was awarded $500,000 from the Opioid Response Strategic Impact Grant to address the critical needs of Denver’s adolescents battling substance use disorder. 5280’s innovative project will enhance their established recovery-focused educational model by hiring specialized staff, including two Recovery Coaches and a Licensed Addiction Counselor, to provide tailored support and personalized recovery plans for students. These efforts are designed to increase student retention, achieve higher rates of sobriety, and support successful transitions to post-high school life.
- Denver Recovery Group has secured multiple grants this year to expand their opioid treatment services. They received $240,000 from Rocky Mountain Health Plans to establish a medical unit in Summit County, improving access to methadone and opioid treatment program (OTP) services for Summit, Eagle, Clear Creek, Grand, and Routt Counties. Located in Silverthorne, this unit will bring essential methadone access and opioid misuse education to remote areas through telehealth and community engagement. Additionally, they were awarded $230,000 from Rocky Mountain Health Plans to expand rural OTPs in Durango, thereby increasing ASAM Level 1.7: Medically-Managed Outpatient Treatment in the rural and frontier areas of La Plata, Montezuma, Dolores, San Juan, Hinsdale, and Archuleta Counties. Furthermore, Denver Recovery Group secured $450,000 from the Opioid Response Strategic Impact Grant to open Colorado’s first 24-hour methadone clinic in Denver. This grant will allow them to expand infrastructure, provide telehealth and transportation services, and extend operating hours by hiring additional staff.
- Haven of Hope received a substantial grant of $6,049,291 from Denver Human Services for the Newcomer Denver Asylum Seeker Program (DASP) Enrollment and Food & Personal Items Assistance.
