Opiod Settlement
We help communities create and strengthen governance structures that are inclusive, transparent, and built on shared accountability. Whether forming new advisory groups or enhancing existing coalitions, we ensure key stakeholders, such as people with lived experience, public agencies, nonprofits, and community members, are actively involved in decision-making. Our focus on shared leadership builds trust and supports lasting collaboration.
We have helped more than 20 counties in Colorado develop their opioid settlement governance frameworks, and in 2023 our state was honored with the inaugural award for transparency in opioid settlement spending. Since then, we have helped cities and counties in Washington, Oregon, Kansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania develop their governance, leading to sustainable decision-making bodies for all these entities.
Through skilled facilitation, clear decision-making frameworks, and thoughtful process design, we guide communities in defining roles, responsibilities, and participation pathways. We also offer ongoing technical support to keep governance bodies organized, aligned, and responsive to changing community needs. We aim to develop governance systems that work effectively and truly reflect the values and voices of the communities they serve.
